Dr Onumah is a Lecturer in Accounting at the Department of Accounting and Finance at the GIMPA Business School where she mentors students in addition to teaching and offering leadership.

She is a graduate of the University of Ghana Business School where she obtained a Diploma, bachelor’s degree and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Accounting. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree in Finance from GIMPA.  She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana (FCITG) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG).

Prior to becoming a lecturer in 2016, Mrs Onumah practised accountancy for 25 years in various capacities in the private and public sectors of the Ghanaian economyHer research work has been published in reputable international peer-review journals including the Journal of Economic Studies; Journal of Global Responsibility; Accounting Education and Journal of Economic and Administrative Sciences.
