Prof. Samuel Famiyeh

Samuel Famiyeh is a Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management and the Dean of the GIMPA Business School.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree, in Geological Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana; Master of Business Administration in Natural Resources and Environment and a PhD in Environmental Management from the Technical University of Mining and Technology, Freiberg, Germany.

Prior to joining GIMPA, he worked on several international exploration and mining companies in Ghana. Famiyeh has consulted for several mining companies including, Golden Sunshine Mining company, Joset mining, Conquest Exploration etc.

Famiyeh has been working with GIMPA since 2006, he was appointed as the Dean of the Business School since 2021. Famiyeh is a registered member of the Ghana Institution of Geoscientists.

His research works have been published in reputable international peer-review journals including: International Journal of Production Economics; Production Planning & Control; Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management; International Journal of Managing Projects in Business; Safety Science, among others. He is a member of Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), USA and Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (GIPS).

Management Science

Samuel Famiyeh is a Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management and the Dean of the GIMPA Business School.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree, in Geological Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana; Master of Business Administration in Natural Resources and Environment and a PhD in Environmental Management from the Technical University of Mining and Technology, Freiberg, Germany.

Prior to joining GIMPA, he worked on several international exploration and mining companies in Ghana. Famiyeh has consulted for several mining companies including, Golden Sunshine Mining company, Joset mining, Conquest Exploration etc.

Famiyeh has been working with GIMPA since 2006, he was appointed as the Dean of the Business School since 2021. Famiyeh is a registered member of the Ghana Institution of Geoscientists.

His research works have been published in reputable international peer-review journals including: International Journal of Production Economics; Production Planning & Control; Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management; International Journal of Managing Projects in Business; Safety Science, among others. He is a member of Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), USA and Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (GIPS).
