GIMPA Training and Consulting on 27th February 2026 successfully concluded an eight-week intensive training programme in Monitoring and Evaluation, Health Leadership and Administration, and Global Health.
The closing session brought together participants from diverse professional backgrounds who completed the largely online programme. The training forms part of GIMPA’s broader commitment to strengthening leadership capacity and enhancing professional competence within Ghana’s health sector and related institutions.
Welcoming participants at the ceremony, the Director of GIMPA Training and Consulting commended them for their dedication, resilience and active engagement throughout the programme. He noted that the course was delivered online for the first time in this format, describing it as a significant milestone in expanding access to quality professional development.
He emphasized that effective public health leadership requires collaboration, innovation and a strong foundation in ethical practice. “This programme has been intensive, but your commitment and active participation have made it worthwhile,” he stated. “The knowledge you have gained is not merely for certification, but for transforming institutions and contributing meaningfully to national development.”
Participants were invited to introduce themselves and share their professional backgrounds, reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of the cohort. The diversity of the group underscored the cross-sectoral relevance of public health leadership and administration across both public and private institutions.
In his closing remarks, the Director urged participants to regard their certificates not only as academic achievements but as symbols of responsibility and service. He encouraged them to pursue continuous learning and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in their respective fields.
Participants were also informed about newly developed programmes at GIMPA, including courses in Bioethics and Clinical Psychology, aimed at addressing emerging challenges in healthcare delivery, medical ethics and mental health management.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates, marking the successful completion of the training. GIMPA expressed confidence that the graduates will play a pivotal role in strengthening leadership, management and accountability within Ghana’s public health system.
