GIMPA Training and Consulting (GTC) has marked the completion of its Health Administration and Management (HAM) February 2026 cohort with the graduation of 61 health professionals at a ceremony held on 27 February 2026.

The four week intensive programme brought together participants from diverse regions and health facilities across Ghana. The training focused on strengthening competencies in health sector policy, management frameworks, leadership, human resource administration, and financial management to enhance efficiency and quality healthcare delivery.

Addressing the ceremony, the Director of GIMPA Training and Consulting, Prof. Kenneth Ofori-Boateng, congratulated participants on their achievement and encouraged them to leverage the professional networks built during the programme. He urged them to lead with purpose, drive efficiency, and champion quality care within Ghana’s health sector. Prof. Ofori-Boateng also underscored the importance of continuous professional development and announced upcoming online flagship certificate programmes, including Clinical Psychology and Bioethics, aimed at equipping health professionals with additional competencies relevant to modern healthcare delivery.

The Class Representative, Dr. Ebenezer Wireko, described the training as transformational rather than merely academic. He highlighted key lessons from the programme, including the importance of planning, documentation, accountability, and decisive leadership in healthcare management. He expressed appreciation to the Director, facilitators, coordinators, and the Ghana Health Service for their support and investment in the programme.

As part of the practical component of the training, participants undertook a field trip to Shai Osudoku, where they examined district-level health management practices and reflected on bridging the gap between policy and implementation. The exercise reinforced the need for timely decision-making, effective communication, and practical leadership in addressing systemic healthcare challenges.

The ceremony concluded with a call for participants to remain connected as alumni and to apply their enhanced management skills toward strengthening healthcare systems across Ghana.
