Accra, Ghana (March 19, 2026)
The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) is expanding its influence in Francophone Africa through a new Governance School in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, following high-level talks between GIMPA Rector Professor Samuel Kwaku Bonsu and ENA’s Directeur-Général Mr. Tombola Muke.
The partnership builds on a November 2025 memorandum, with both sides approving a roadmap for joint research, policy advocacy, and an annual bilateral conference starting 2027, alternating between Ghana and DRC.
Key initiatives include: A joint research team launching this month to drive impactful studies and policy influence. Student and faculty exchanges beginning September 2026, with placements in public institutions. The bilingual Governance School, modelled on GIMPA’s Economic Governance School, set for Quarter four 2026 and an African Dialogues platform to elevate pan-African voices globally.
“This partnership advances African governance and policy. We will launch a joint research team this month to drive impactful studies for Ghana and the DRC,” Prof. Bonsu said.
The moves align with GIMPA’s GIMPA@Africa strategy for continental collaboration. Prof Bonsu heads next to Burundi to deepen ties.
