GISMA SWEARS IN NEW EXECUTIVE TEAM, HONOURS OUTGOING LEADERSHIP.

The GIMPA Senior Members Association (GISMA) has ushered in a new executive leadership team following a swearing-in ceremony held on Friday, 17th July, 2026 marking a significant transition in the Association’s efforts to promote the welfare, professional growth, and collective interests of senior of the Institute.

The event brought together GISMA members and key stakeholders to celebrate the achievements of the outgoing administration and formally inaugurate the newly elected executives.

In his farewell address, the outgoing President expressed gratitude to members for their support throughout his tenure. He highlighted the Association’s engagement with the Management of GIMPA on matters affecting senior members, particularly in the areas of welfare and healthcare, and reflected on efforts made to advance the interests of the membership.

Delivering his inaugural address, the newly elected President thanked members for the confidence reposed in the new executive team. He acknowledged the contributions of the outgoing leadership and commended them for laying a strong foundation on which the new administration intends to build.

The President reaffirmed the new leadership’s commitment to advancing the Association’s objectives while introducing initiatives that respond to the evolving needs of members and the Institute. Key priorities outlined by the new administration include enhancing communication and engagement with members, promoting welfare and professional development, strengthening collaboration with GIMPA Management and other stakeholder groups, and fostering mentorship, knowledge sharing, and networking among staff.

The newly elected executives were subsequently sworn into office, pledging to uphold the constitution and objectives of GISMA and to discharge their responsibilities faithfully in service to the Association and its members.

A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of citations to members of the outgoing executive team in recognition of their dedicated service and contributions to the growth of GISMA.
