Dr. Stephen T. Odonkor is a distinguished Fulbright Scholar and currently serves as the Head of Department and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Development Policy at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). With a robust multidisciplinary background, Dr. Odonkor earned his PhD from the University of South Africa in Pretoria. He also holds a BSc from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana, an MBA from the Paris Graduate School of Management in France, and a Master of Philosophy degree from the University of Ghana in Legon. He is also a certified graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants (CIAMC).

Dr. Odonkor has authored over forty peer-reviewed publications in top-ranked journals and has extensive experience in organizing interdisciplinary seminars that bring together researchers, students, and community members to explore critical environmental and health-related issues. His expertise spans research curriculum development, project design, data analysis, and community engagement initiatives, with a strong focus on addressing environmental health challenges.

Before joining GIMPA, Dr. Odonkor provided consultancy services to several private universities and colleges in Ghana, where he played a pivotal role in establishing university administrations, leading policy formulation, and laying the institutional foundations necessary for national accreditation. His international expertise includes negotiating and signing MOUs in countries like Canada, fostering partnerships and international exchange programs.

In 2007, Dr. Odonkor founded the Metropolitan Research and Education Bureau, a research-based organization in Accra, Ghana, dedicated to advancing knowledge and addressing pressing community issues. Known for his results-driven approach, resourcefulness, and exceptional event planning skills, Dr. Odonkor is recognized as a leader with strong leadership qualities.
