The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) has taken another significant step toward strengthening its internationalisation agenda following a high-level engagement with a delegation from Bentley University, Boston, USA.
Hosted by the Office of International Programmes in collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Rector, the meeting was held on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to expand GIMPA’s global partnerships and foster meaningful academic collaboration with leading institutions around the world.
The engagement was chaired by the Deputy Rector, Professor Ebenezer Adaku, on behalf of the Rector, and brought together representatives from both institutions to discuss areas of mutual interest and explore opportunities for developing a sustainable and impactful partnership.
The Bentley University delegation was led by Dr. Sean Ferguson, Vice President, who joined discussions focused on several potential areas of collaboration. Key among these were faculty research partnerships and exchange programmes, student mobility initiatives, staff administrative exchanges, joint graduate degree programmes, and executive education opportunities for industry professionals.
Speaking during the meeting, participants highlighted the importance of international partnerships in advancing academic excellence, promoting knowledge exchange, and equipping students and staff with the skills and experiences needed to thrive in an increasingly interconnected global environment.
The discussions underscored a shared commitment by both institutions to fostering collaborative research, enhancing teaching and learning, and creating innovative opportunities that will benefit students, faculty, and professional communities in Ghana, the United States, and beyond.
The engagement marks an important milestone in GIMPA’s continued efforts to strengthen its global network and position itself as a leading centre for higher education, research, and professional development in Africa.
As discussions progress, GIMPA remains optimistic about the prospects of a partnership with Bentley University and looks forward to building a relationship founded on shared values, academic excellence, innovation, and global impact.
