The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) has etched its name into the annals of African legal education history. The GIMPA Law School has emerged victorious at the prestigious Christof Heyns All-African Human Rights Moot Court Competition, claiming the continental title and bringing the coveted trophy home to Greenhill.
In a gripping grand finale that showcased the very best of African legal advocacy, Gabriel Tetteh Lawerteh and Papa Yaw Adom took to the podium on behalf of Team GIMPA. Before a distinguished bench, the duo delivered arguments marked by confidence, composure and exceptional advocacy — qualities that ultimately set them apart and sealed a historic victory for the Institute.

The team’s campaign was coordinated and directed by Nii Kpakpo Samoa Addo Esq., a senior faculty member of the GIMPA Law School with a tremendous wealth of experience in moot court competitions. His seasoned guidance, strategic direction and deep familiarity with the demands of continental advocacy proved invaluable, shaping the team’s preparation at every stage and steering them to the summit of African mooting.
This victory is more than a trophy; it is a statement. It affirms the quality of legal education at GIMPA, the calibre of its students and the commitment of the faculty and coaches who guided the team throughout the competition.
