Gamel Abdul- Nasser Salifu is a Lecturer in Economics Department of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Gamel holds a PhD from the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, University of Ghana. His Specialty is Agricultural Development Policy Analysis, Agribusiness Management, Climate Change and Poverty Reduction. Gamel has considerable interdisciplinary experience in Academia and industry. He has consulted for several international organisations such as United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) as Professional officer, International Food and Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) as Consultant, ACDI/VOCA as Agricultural Value-Chains expert on Maize and Poultry.
PhD in Applied Agricultural Economics with specialization in Agricultural Administration from the Department of Agricultural economics and Agribusiness (University of Ghana). Prior to joining this programme, he was a PhD student in Agri-business, Department of Economics, Iowa State University, Ames. USA. He holds an MPhil in (Agricultural Extension & Rural Development), University of Ghana, Legon, and B.Sc. (Agriculture), from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST).
