Dr. (Mrs.) Sarah Serwah Boateng is a Finance Lecturer (September 2013 – to date) at Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) – Business School, Accra. She obtained her undergraduate degree in BSc. Banking and Finance (2007); MPhil Finance (2010) from the University of Ghana. Sarah received her PhD in Finance from the University of Ghana in (December 2018) under the supervision of Prof. Godfred Bokpin, Prof. Joshua Abor and Prof. Lord Mensah with the thesis topic – Bank Governance, Disclosure and Stability: Evidence from Africa. Sarah’s research interest lies in areas such as Corporate Governance, Financing Decisions, Ethical and Sustainable Finance. Sarah started teaching at the UGBS in 2009 as a graduate assistant and since then has developed her career in tertiary teaching and learning. She has lectured at Methodist University College of Ghana (MUCG) and the Finance Department UGBS.

She has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses such as Business Finance, Budgeting and Financial Planning, Financial Management, Investment Management, Advance Corporate Finance and other finance-related programs. She has held several roles like Coordinator for Mature Entrance Programme, GIMPA Senior Members Association Secretary and currently as Ag. President.
