Dr Isidore Tufuor

Dr. Isidore Tufuor joined the GIMPA Faculty of Law in 2010 as a lecturer where he teaches a number of courses including Labour and Employment Law and Criminal Law. He is also a fully bilingual (French-English) legal practitioner called to the Ghana Bar. Isidore is a Partner at Law Plus (Attorneys-at Law), a law firm in Accra and oversees its Consultancy Department. He is also practices law in the areas of commercial and corporate law; labour and employment law, criminal law, particularly in the domain of financial crimes, and environmental justice. Isidore is a director at the Centre for Criminal Justice, Policy and Research (CCJPR), a research-based organisation in criminal law and criminal justice reform. Today, the Centre is one of the leading organisations which provides solutions through research, training, advocacy and policy making in the area of criminal law and criminal justice in Ghana.

Dr Tufuor is also the Head of Programmes responsible for training and capacity building in the areas of corporate and business law and employment law at the Corporate Secretarial Training Services CSTS, a private organization in Accra.

Between 2010-2012, he worked with the Leitner Centre for International Law and Justice (New York) on Human Rights Projects in the criminal justice delivery in Ghana, and also served as the Programs Coordinator for the African Centre for Development Law and Policy. Dr Tufuor is currently the Head of Law Department, at the GIMPA Law Faculty.
