Dr Israel Kpekpena

Israel Kpekpena is a Marketing lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Before joining GIMPA, Dr. Kpekpena worked as a banking staff, a high-school class instructor, and an operations manager with a major advertising agency in Accra. His current research interests centre around consumer transformative research, consumer online brand communities, and behavioural research methodologies and analyses. His research works have been presented at major conferences, including AMA Marketing and Public Policy, Marketing Management Association, and North East Decision Sciences Institute. He was a recipient of the Centre for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) award from Indiana University. He obtained his PhD in 2020 from the Morgan State University, Maryland, USA.

Dr. Kpekpena was involved in the research work on improving the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP), sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  The international collaborative research between the Haas School of Business, UCLA, Berkeley and GIMPA produced, among other things, a costing tool to help the GSFP Secretariat calculate the costs involved in producing and delivering the food to the school children.
