Dr Juliet Agbeibor

Juliet Agbeibor is a lecturer in Accounting at the GIMPA Business School. Juliet obtained her PhD from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum, and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP), University of Dundee, UK, where she received the prestigious CEPMLP PhD Scholarship. Her PhD thesis explains the relationship between corporate social accounting practice, accountability, and company-community conflict in mining. Juliet also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Philosophy degree in Accounting, both from the University of Ghana Business School.

 

Juliet has over a decade of experience teaching accounting modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She has previously taught at the University of Ghana, the University of Dundee, and the International College Dundee. Juliet is an active contributor to service activities at GIMPA. She has served in several capacities, including her current roles as a member of the accreditation committee of the GIMPA Business School and the ACCA and CIMA liaison committees of the Department of Accounting and Finance, GIMPA Business School.

 

Juliet’s research interests are sustainability reporting, social accounting, accountability, and SME accounting. She is also a reviewer for the Journal of Financial Reporting and Accounting and a co-convenor of the Dundee Africa Research Network.
