Dr. Stanford Nartey

Stanford Nartey is a lecturer in Management at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, Ghana (GIMPA). He obtained his PhD in Management from the Hull University Business School in the UK. He also holds an MBA in Management from Hull University, and a BSc Marketing from the University of Professional Studies (UPSA). Dr. Nartey also holds other professional qualifications in Management, Marketing and Health and Safety Management. Prior to joining GIMPA, Dr. Nartey had taught briefly in the UK and in other universities including Pentecost University, UPSA and Methodist University at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels.

Dr. Nartey is currently teaching various management courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. These courses include: Managing People and Organization, Managing Organizations, Organizational Development and Change, Organizational Behavior and Leadership, Human Resource Management, HR Staffing, Training and Development, Strategic HRM and Performance Management. He has also delivered various modules including Strategic Management, Services Marketing, etc. Dr. Nartey has over 10 years industry working experience which he blends with theory to enhance students’ learning. He adopts a student-centered learning approach to engage students. He also provides pastoral support at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. He is currently the Programs Coordinator for the HR programs at the GIMPA Business School and supervises students’ projects up to the PhD level. His research interests are in the areas of Management, Organizational Behavior in Society, International Business, Human Resource Management, CSR & Community Relations, and Business Strategy.
