Mr George Baffour Asare-Afriyie

George Baffour Asare-Afriyie is a lawyer by profession and a legal academic. Since, August 2017, he has been teaching various law courses at the Faculty of Law, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Accra-Ghana. He holds a George, holds a Diploma in Senior Port Management from Galilee International Management Institute-Israel. He also holds Master of Laws Degree in Maritime Laws from Tulane Law School, New Orleans, USA. George was called to the Ghanaian Bar in October 2014. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) and Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Ghana, Certificate in Negotiations from Harvard Negotiation Institute, Harvard Law School, Certificate in Legislative Drafting from International Law Institute-African Centre for Legal Excellence-Uganda, Certificate in Education for Professional Excellence in Maritime Administrations, World Maritime University, Malmo-Sweden. George is a proud old boy of St. Augustine’s College, Cape Coast, Ghana.

His area of expertise also spans areas such as Insurance Law, Maritime Law and Arbitration, Environmental Law and Immovable Property Law.

He is currently an assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Law School, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

George is the Executive Director of the Maritime Intelligence Bureau and the Managing Partner of Mclista Partners, based in Accra-Ghana.
