Stephen Awuku Asah is a lecturer of procurement and supply chain management, and project management at GIMPA Business School. He has many years of experience in building quantity surveying. He also serves as an advisor to a group of students every year.He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree, Second Class Upper Division, in Building Technology and a Master of Science in Procurement Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana; and PhD student in Business Administration (Supply Chain Management option) from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration. Before joining GIMPA, he worked on several large infrastructure projects in Ghana including construction of students’ hostel at the University of Ghana Akuafo Hall Annex B, rehabilitation of Tono Irrigation dam near Navorongo and resurfacing of Bupeila-Yapei road in Tamale. His research focuses on the causes and effects of project cost and time overruns; supply chain risk and its management and their effect on performance. He is a professional member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors.
