Ms Humu-Annie Seini

Ms Humu-Annie Seini is a lawyer, a notary public and a legal academic. She was called to the Ghana Bar in 2000. Since 2016, she has been teaching various law courses at the Faculty of Law of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). These include Human Rights Law, Environmental Law as well as Legal Writing and Research. Ms. Seini is the Chair Person of the Conferences, Seminars & Short Courses Committee and a member of the Research & Publication/Editorial Committee of the Faculty. She has worked with a number of law firms and government regulatory institutions in Ghana as well as other countries. She is the Secretary to the Board of the Petroleum Commission, a Board Member of the National Muslim Conference, the Secretary to the Board of the Muslim Health Services, Ghana and Secretary as well as a Founding Member of the An-nisaa Foundation. Ms. Seini holds an LL. B from the University of Ghana and a Qualifying Certificate to practice Law from the Ghana School of Law. She also holds a Diploma in International Environmental Law from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). Ms. Seini obtained a joint LL.M in European Legal Practice and Integrated Studies from the Leibniz Universität Hannover and Université Rouen. She also holds an LL.M from Harvard Law School. Her research interests include Environmental Law, Energy Law, Islamic Law and Human Rights Law.

Ms. Seini speaks English, Dagbanli, Hausa, German and French. She also reads Arabic. She enjoys cooking, reading and reaching out to under-served communities.
