Prof Ebenezer Adaku

Department

Management Science

Ebenezer Adaku is an Associate Professor of Operations and Project Management and the Head, Department of Management Science at the GIMPA Business School, where he offers leadership and serves as a coach to a dynamic team of academics.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree, First Class Division, in Building Technology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana; Master of Science in Infrastructure Planning and PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany.

Prior to joining GIMPA, he worked on several large infrastructure projects in Ghana. Ebenezer has consulted for the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), Ghana, on Sustainable Public Procurement and rolled out workshops for public procurement entities across Ghana. He has facilitated training programmes/workshops, in operations and project management, for institutions such as African Union; ECOWAS; Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre; Tema Oil Refinery; Absa Bank Ghana; Ministry of Gender and Social Protection, Ghana, among others.

From 2019 to 2021, he was appointed by the European Union as a Marie Curie Research Fellow at the University of Wolverhampton, Wolverhampton, UK where he worked on Occupational Health and Safety Risk Management on construction projects in collaboration with notable professional bodies in the UK including Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Association for Project Safety (APS), Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM), among others. His research and consultancy works have received funding from The World Bank; European Union; The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation; State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), Switzerland; German Development Cooperation (GIZ), etc.

His research work have been published in reputable international peer-review journals including: International Journal of Production Economics; Production Planning & Control; Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management; International Journal of Managing Projects in Business; Safety Science, among others. He is a member of Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), USA and Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (GIPS).

Prof Ebenezer Adaku

Department

Management Science

Ebenezer Adaku is an Associate Professor of Operations and Project Management and the Head, Department of Management Science at the GIMPA Business School, where he offers leadership and serves as a coach to a dynamic team of academics.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree, First Class Division, in Building Technology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana; Master of Science in Infrastructure Planning and PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany.

Prior to joining GIMPA, he worked on several large infrastructure projects in Ghana. Ebenezer has consulted for the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), Ghana, on Sustainable Public Procurement and rolled out workshops for public procurement entities across Ghana. He has facilitated training programmes/workshops, in operations and project management, for institutions such as African Union; ECOWAS; Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre; Tema Oil Refinery; Absa Bank Ghana; Ministry of Gender and Social Protection, Ghana, among others.

From 2019 to 2021, he was appointed by the European Union as a Marie Curie Research Fellow at the University of Wolverhampton, Wolverhampton, UK where he worked on Occupational Health and Safety Risk Management on construction projects in collaboration with notable professional bodies in the UK including Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Association for Project Safety (APS), Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM), among others. His research and consultancy works have received funding from The World Bank; European Union; The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation; State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), Switzerland; German Development Cooperation (GIZ), etc.

His research work have been published in reputable international peer-review journals including: International Journal of Production Economics; Production Planning & Control; Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management; International Journal of Managing Projects in Business; Safety Science, among others. He is a member of Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), USA and Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (GIPS).
