GIMPA signed an agreement with the Kenya School of Government (KSG) during the Ghana-Kenya Business Forum held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra on Wednesday, 3rd April, 2024. The Memorandum of Understanding was among five others signed at the Business Forum which was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration as part of activities marking bilateral engagements between the Republic of Ghana and the Republic of Kenya. The Forum was attended by the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo and the President of Kenya, Dr. William Kipchirchir Samoei Arap Ruto.
Ahead of the ratification and in line with the Permanent Joint Commission for Cooperation (PJCC) between Ghana and Kenya, the Rector and his representatives attended the Senior Officials meetings held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration on 27th and 28th March, 2024. The Ministerial session was held on 2nd April, 2024 at the Accra International Conference Center to review and finalise the decisions reached during the Senior Officials meetings.
The GIMPA-KSG agreement, which aims to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of leadership, innovation, foresight planning, training and development, e-learning, scientific research, policy development and implementation was signed by the Rector of GIMPA, Prof. Samuel Kwaku Bonsu and the Director General of the Kenya School of Government, Prof. Nura Mohamed on behalf of the two institutions.
The Rector was accompanied by the Deputy Rector, Dr. Augustina Akonnor, the Secretary of the Institute, Dr. Mrs. Victoria M. Kunbuor, the Senior Fellow at the GIMPA Center of Excellence in Public Utility Regulation (CEPUR) Prof. Samuel Adams and the Dean of the School of Public Service and Governance, Dr. Patrick Tandoh-Offin and Ms. Abigail Korkor Sackitey, Assistant Registrar at the Office of the Rector.
