GIMPA Commences July 2026 Health Administration And Management Programme For Ghana Health Service Managers.

The GIMPA Training and Consultancy (GTC), has commenced the July 2026 edition of its Health Administration and Management (HAM) Programme for managers of the Ghana Health Service (GHS).

The four-week executive training programme has brought together health managers from across the country to strengthen their leadership, administrative, and management competencies in support of improved healthcare delivery.

Welcoming the participants, Professor Kenneth Ofori-Boateng, Director of GTC, expressed appreciation to the Ghana Health Service for its continued partnership with the Institute in advancing leadership development within the health sector.

He emphasised that effective leadership and sound management were indispensable to building a resilient and responsive healthcare system. Prof. Ofori-Boateng encouraged participants to maximise the learning opportunity by sharing experiences, engaging with facilitators, and fostering professional networks that will strengthen collaboration across the health sector.

He also highlighted GIMPA’s commitment to lifelong learning through its wide range of executive education programmes, professional certifications, online learning platforms, and emerging areas of training, including Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation, to prepare professionals for the evolving demands of the workplace.

Delivering the welcome address on behalf of the Director of Human Resource, Ghana Health Service, Mrs. Gifty Afedo, Assistant to the Director of Human Resource, congratulated participants on their selection and described the programme as a strategic investment in leadership development within the health service.

Mrs. Afedo urged the participants to actively engage in lectures, discussions, group exercises, and the scheduled field visit to a selected health facility, which forms an integral part of the learning experience.

She further underscored the commitment of the Human Resource Development Division of the Ghana Health Service to building a competent, motivated, and professional workforce.

The HAM Programme forms part of GIMPA’s broader commitment to developing competent public sector leaders capable of driving excellence, innovation, and sustainable improvements in Ghana’s healthcare system.
