Dr. Joseph Budu Appointed as Head of the GIMPA Hub for Teaching and Learning
The GIMPA community is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Joseph Budu as the new Head of the GIMPA Hub for Teaching and Learning. Dr. Budu takes over the reins from Prof. Bernard Obeng Acquah, who has transitioned to serve as the Dean of the GIMPA Business School.
Prof. Obeng Acquah’s tenure as Head of the Hub, spanning two impactful years, was marked by significant advancements in teaching and learning. Under his leadership, the Hub introduced a range of transformative initiatives, including:
- AI for Education Training Workshops: Equipping faculty with cutting-edge tools and techniques to integrate artificial intelligence into the learning environment.
- Case Study Methodology Sessions: Enhancing faculty capabilities in designing and delivering case-based teaching for deeper student engagement.
- Revamping Course Outlines: Ensuring curricula were updated to incorporate 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, digital literacy, and global citizenship.
As Prof. Obeng Acquah assumes his new role, he leaves behind a legacy of innovation and growth that has solidified the Hub’s reputation as a center of excellence.
