Mr. Albert Amponsem is a Chartered Certified Accountant and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK (ACCA -UK). He is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Ghana (IIAG).
Albert’s educational qualifications include: The Association of Chartered Certified
Accountants (ACCA) through London College of Accountancy; Master of Business Administration (Finance option) from University of Wales, UK; Postgraduate Diploma in
Business Management from London School of Commerce, UK; a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University in UK; and ACCA Certified Accounting Technician.
Mr. Albert Amponsem joins Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) with over Nineteen (19) years of experience in both the Public and Private Sector.He had most of his training from the Ashanti Goldfields Company Limited, the now AngloGold Ashanti in Obuasi, Institute of Professional Studies (IPS), now the University of Professional Studies Accra and Augustus & Co in the United Kingdom. As a Chartered Certified Accountant and a Finance Professional, Albert comes with a wide range of expertise in areas such as Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Taxation Business Management, etc.
His attention to details, insightful knowledge and competence in Accounting, Finance and
the Auditing processes have always ensured that financial reporting complies with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSASs) or its equivalent the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs), the L.I 2378 of the Public Financial
Management Regulations 2019, Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (PFMA) Act 921; as well as any other applicable Standards or Regulations. He has the attitude of always ensuring that the financial and operational integrity through compliance with policies, procedures, laws and regulations are guaranteed. Albert has the competence in developing effective internal controls as well as evaluating
the existing internal controls on the Accounting and the Finance activities, and communicating any weaknesses with appropriate recommendations. Undoubtedly, his ability to assist in identifying, categorizing, evaluating and mitigating risks exposures is much to be desired. Mr. Amponsem demonstrates incredible ability to reason in problem solving with wellorganized thought and ideas, He demonstrates exceptional communication skills with
extensive public speaking / presentation.
His strong desire for recommending and also using systems to resolving challenges is
