- GIMPA is different from other universities in terms of our practical approach to teaching and learning (case-based teaching with a blend of local and global examples, etc);

Strategy
Sustaining Excellence
- We work in partnership with our students, external stakeholders and alumni to develop relevant programmes, revise existing ones, and adopt creative teaching and learning methods which will enable graduates to better understand our problems and provide sustainable solutions to them.
- We still involve our local and global communities in the design, delivery and evaluation of our education as a way of providing ongoing learning opportunities through professional courses and executive education programmes.
- We have not just brought GIMPA offices to Kumasi. We have also brought with us our impactful education which is meant to reach every part of the middle and northern belts of Ghana and West Africa.
- We offer professional training courses tailored to peculiar social, cultural and business peculiarities in the middle and northern belts of Ghana (e.g. small-medium entrepreneurship, family business, agri-business, traditional leadership, and local governance), while maintaining excellence in our academic programmes

I was happy when I got admitted at GIMPA for BSc. Business Administration. Balancing my work as a bank official with lectures on weekends was going to be hectic since I had to rest on weekends. However, the lecturers were not just teachers but counsellors as well and getting access to them was easy. They not only gave me advice but guidance as well. As such, I was able to graduate successfully. I choose GIMPA because of their reputation for excellence and I recommend this Institute for prospective students.

From the beginning of my admission, there was an essay I was supposed to write, spelling out my goals, one of which was to be a CEO of my workplace in the next 5 years. So far, I currently report to the board but I’m not far from being the CEO and it is all thanks to my time at GIMPA. My studies and experience there have helped me climbed the professional ladder at my place of work. The strictness from the lecturers motivated me to learn, especially when I was writing my thesis. They did not take anything less than standard which was extremely helpful to me.
